The Channel 50 Challenge cycle ride on Romney Marsh was a fantastic day. Wonderful weather providing idea conditions for the ride. Over 130 riders took part enjoying the 50, 30 and 10 mile marshalled routes. We have, so far, raised over £1500 for local charities from this event. Lets make it bigger and better next year!!
Our giant Wine & Wisdom Quiz Night at The Grand, Folkestone on 23rd March was a great success. We raised over £1500 for local and international charities.
Yet another successful Golf Day in May held at Sene Valley Golf Club raised almost £2000, as always a very enjoyable day with fine weather too
We were pleased to welcome our friends from the Mechelen club in July when we able to orgnaise a vists to the Golf Open at Sandwich. Whilst our British weather was far from ideal a great time was had by all
Santa Run 2011
This years Santa Fun Run held on the 4th December was another great success with 400 Santas running through Folkestone raising thousands of pounds for The Alzheimers Society, as well as many other local, national and international charities. Not only did it raise substantial sums for charity but being the first Sunday in December it helped the town get a great start to Christmas. The atmosphere was wonderful.
